Quadro Tracker

Quadro Tracker : is a device manufactured by the Quadro Corp. of Harleyville in South Carolina. It's function is to detect a number of items ranging from illicit drugs to golf balls. The device itself is made out of plastic, is non-electric and has a radio antenna which is used as a detector of weapons, explosives and narcotics. It has been reported that the Quadro has sold around a 1000 trackers to school districts and law enforcement agencies nationwide at prices anywhere up to $8000 dollars. According one report the marketing literature explains that, the tracker's user simply inserts a "locator card" in the device to find drugs, weapons and even specific people. It would appear from certain reports on the internet that there is some controversy surrounding this device and it's ability to live up to its claims.

Qualitative Method

Qualitative Method : is a research method that relies less on numbers and statistics but more on interviews, observations, small numbers of questionnaires, focus groups, subjective reports and case studies.

Quantitative Method

Quantitative Method : is a research method that relies less on interviews, observations, small numbers of questionnaires, focus groups, subjective reports and case studies but is much more focused on the collection and analysis of numerical data and statistics.

The opposite to this type of research is qualitative research, which is much more reliant upon, interviews and case studies and deals generally with much smaller numbers.

Quantum Mechanics

Quantum mechanics is the study of mechanical systems whose dimensions are close to the atomic scale, such as molecules, atoms, electrons, protons and other subatomic particles. Quantum mechanics is a fundamental branch of physics with wide applications.

Quantum theory generalizes classical mechanics to provide accurate descriptions for many previously unexplained phenomena such as black body radiation and stable electron orbits. The effects of quantum mechanics become evident at the atomic and subatomic level, and they are typically not observable on macroscopic scales. Superfluidity is one of the known exceptions to this rule.

Quantumn Physics

Quantum physics is the study of the behavior of matter and energy at the molecular, atomic, nuclear, and even smaller microscopic levels. In the early 20th century, it was discovered that the laws that govern macroscopic objects do not function the same in such small realms.

Quark

A quark is a generic type of physical particle that interacts via all four fundamental forces and that forms one of the two basic constituents of matter, the other being the lepton. Various flavors of quarks combine in specific ways to form protons and neutrons, in each case taking exactly three quarks to make the composite particle in question.

There are six different types of quarks, usually known as flavors: up, down, charm, strange, top, and bottom. The charm, strange, top, and bottom varieties are highly unstable, and are believed to have decayed within a fraction of a second after the Big Bang – though they can be briefly recreated and studied by scientists. However, the "up" and "down" varieties are abundant and are distinguished by (amongst other things) their electric charge.

It is this which makes the difference when quarks clump together to form protons or neutrons: a proton is made up of two "up quarks" and one "down quark", yielding a net charge of +1, while a neutron contains one "up quark" and two "down quarks", yielding a net charge of 0.

Quatermass

Professor Bernard Quatermass is a fictional character, originally created by the writer Nigel Kneale for BBC Television. Quatermass appeared in three influential BBC science fiction serials of the 1950s, and returned in a final serial for Thames Television in 1979. A remake of the first serial appeared on BBC Four in 2005.
The character also appeared in films, on the radio and in print over a fifty-year period. Kneale picked the character's unusual surname from a London telephone directory, while the first name was in honour of the astronomer Bernard Lovell. Quatermass is an intelligent and highly moral British scientist, who continually finds himself confronting sinister alien forces that threaten to destroy humanity. In the initial three serials he is a pioneer of the British space programme, heading up the British Experimental Rocket Group.

Radionics

Radionics : is the use of certain instruments to try to detect radiation or emanations from living organisms.

Rael and The Raelians

Räel & The Räelians : The Raelian movement is a UFO sect which is represented in 50 countries on all five continents. It has been especially active in Zurich for several years. In the Summer of 1997 it hit the headlines with an announcement that it was soon going to be able to clone people.

In terms of organizational structure, there are six levels of responsibility within the movement. The sixth and highest level, is occupied by Rael, namely Claude Vorilhon, the original founder of the movement and "Guide of Guides."

Rael or Claude Vorilhon a French journalist, set up the Raelian movement on December 13th 1973. According to claims by the movement itself; Rael as he is now known, was contacted by an alien visitor from another planet.

Random Events Generator

It's just a basic piece of equipment that spits out random patterns of zeros and ones, which is translated to a graph, where it produces a roughly constant, flat line.
What's weird is that, when 9/11 happened, the graphed line from the Random Event Generator, or REG, started to move up sharply, four hours before the planes even hit the twin towers.
And the same thing happened 24 hours before the Asian tsunami, in 2004.
What's even more, is that no one has been able to explain it, or disprove it.
Scientists are debating about exactly what this means.
One group says it means that we have physically discovered the superconscious mind, and others are saying that it allows us to see into the future.

Reincarnation

Reincarnation : is a doctrine that rests on the belief that after the death of the physical body, there is some element left of each person that then goes on to survive bodily death. This element is independent of a person's physical being, and after death goes on to be reborn into another physical body. The idea of reincarnation has been well established in Eastern religion, although it has appeared all over the globe.
Indeed there is some evidence to suggest that reincarnation could be as old as religion itself as it has appeared in the beliefs of many primitive cultures as well as in some of the more highly developed religions.

Runes

Rune Stones: are used as a system of divination, decision making and communication. They are the magical alphabet of the North of central and Northern Europe."

Sacred Relics

Sacred Relics : these are relics which have religious links. Often they are objects that behave in strange or mysterious ways, in a manner that cannot apparently be explained. Certainly 'The Shroud of Turin is a very famous sacred relic.

Sacred Symbols

In our mother earth millions of symbols were found in caves, rocks surfaces, clay tablets, temples, stone pillars, manuscripts, scrolls, and copper plates. These symbols were engraved/drawn by our ancient people of different cultures.

These symbols were drew the attention of the researchers and scholars may be around 200 -300 years before. Due to unknown reason our knowledge to understand the hidden meaning of the symbols are inadequate due to lack of ancient records more over it appears the knowledge may be kept as secret by limited people for unknown reasons. The origin and its period also cannot be identified exactly due to lack of written script near or around the symbols. In order to decipher one has to imagine, assume the environment, life style of the ancient people, their culture and religion. The scholars and researchers are managed to assume the approximate periods to rounded figure of different ages of civilization of human beings. So it remains as a tough task for the researchers and scholars to decipher the ancient symbols.

Santeria

Santería, also known as La Regla de Lukumi (Lukumi's Rule), and The Way of the Saints, is an Afro-Caribbean religious tradition derived from traditional beliefs of the Yoruba people of Nigeria. The Santería/Yoruba tradition comprises a hierarchical structure according to priesthood level and authority.

Orisha "ile" or temples are usually governed by Orisha Priests known as Babalorishas, "fathers of orisha", or Iyalorishas, "mothers of orisha", and serve as the junior Ile or second in the hierarchical religious structure. The Babalorishas and Iyalorishas are referred to as "Santeros(as)" and if they function as diviners of the Orishas they can be considered Oriates. The highest level of achievement is to become a priest of Ifa (ee-fah). Ifa Priests receive Orunmila who is the Orisha of Prophecy, Wisdom and all Knowledge. Ifa Priests are known by their titles such as "Babalawo" or "Father Who Knows the Secrets" and "Iyanifa" or "Mother of Destiny." Ifa Ile or Temples of Ifa serve as the senior to all Orisha Ile in the Traditional Orisha-Ifa / Santería Community. The Sacred Oracle of Ika-Fun or Ika Ofun serves as confirmation. The "Seven Powers of God" or "Siete Potencia" are; Elegua, Oggun, Oshun, Chango, Obatala', Yemeya and Onrula. These are the most common Orisha names, especially in Cuba.

Sasquatch

A creature that has dwelt for centuries in the misty lands of fantasy may soon merge from its status as a myth and in stark realism become a monster or even newly discovered type of man. It is the Sasquatch of British Columbia, Canadian near relative of the Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas and first cousin of Mr. Bigfoot of California.

Before white man's coming, the Sasquatch was the subject of Indian mythology and verbal history from Alaska to California. White man's calloused disregard of Indian lore drove many of their mythical creatures into he unknown, to become completely forgotten. The Sasquatch, or to use its Indian name, Boqs, only retreated. Today it is staging a strong comeback, not as a myth, but as a real flesh-and-blood creature.

Observers describe it as a very muscular, man-shaped creature, large-chested, with arms that hang to its knees, about seven feet in height and of tremendous strength. Hunters who search for it refer to it as an ape. It is extraordinary, however, that stories told by natives, illiterate and living thousands of miles apart, give his creature not only the same name but also the same physical characteristics.

Satan

Satan also commonly refered to as the Devil is the title given to the supernatural being, who, in mainstream Christianity, Islam, and some other religions, is believed to be a powerful, evil entity and the tempter of humankind. The Devil is commonly associated with heretics, infidels, and other unbelievers.

The name "Devil" derives from the Greek word diabolos, which means "slanderer" or "accuser". In mainstream Christianity, God and the Devil are usually portrayed as fighting over the souls of humans, with the Devil seeking to lure people away from God and into Sheol. The Devil commands a force of lesser evil spirits, commonly known as demons.

The Hebrew Bible (or Old Testament) does not assign this level of personification to the devil; there, the Adversary (Ha-satan) is a servant of God whose job it is to test humankind.

SHC (Spontaneous Human Combustion)

SHC (Spontaneous Human Combustion : is a strange phenomena, whereby someone has apparently burst into flames, without an obvious source of ignition or fire accelerant. A unique trait of this phenomenon, is that when a victim is discovered there will normally be little of their body left.

Most of the body will have been reduced to a pile of ash with either a seemingly untouched limb or limbs protruding from the rest of the victim’s charred remains. Over the years there have been many quite shocking images released showing maybe a leg or two lying in situ among a pile of smouldering ash. One notable image which appeared in the ‘Unexplained One’ in the 1980’s showed a single foot left in its slipper next to a walking frame.

It appeared that the victim had apparently just spontaneously combusted, with surrounding objects hardly touched. In order to reduce a human body to a pile of ash, crematoriums use enormous sustained, temperatures of around 2500 degrees Fahrenheit for hours to incinerate a corpse. With temperatures as high as this, it is hard to conceive that, rarely, surrounding objects also get badly burned. Indeed due to the composition of the body and its large circulatory system, comprising mainly of blood and water it would seem an unlikely object to suddenly and inexplicably ignite.

Shroud of Turin

Shroud of Turin : this is the sindon or burial shroud, that is thought to have been used to wrap the body of Jesus after his death. It has a human image preserved on it which is thought to be the image of Christ himself. The shroud is described as being a pale sheet of linen measuring 4.34 metres (14 feet 3 inches) in length, by 1.09 metres (3 feet 7 inches) in width. It's earliest confirmed history was when it was displayed in 1353 at Lirey in France by it's then owner Geoffrey de Charny I, who was a knight.

Speaking in Tongues

Speaking in Tongues : The ability or phenomenon to utter words or sounds of a language unknown to the speaker, especially as an expression of religious ecstasy.

StoneHenge

Stonehenge : is an arrangement of mysterious stones standing at Salisbury plain. Stonehenge consists of two circles, the outer one being sarsen stone (sandstone) pillars, formerly supporting lintels (only six remain), the inner one of blue stones.

Inside the latter circle are two series of standing stones each in the shape of a horseshoe. Again the outer series is of sarsen stones, the inner of blue stones. None of the horseshoes is complete, some of the stones have fallen and others are missing altogether.

Inside the innermost horseshoe is a single stone, broken in half, called the Altar Stone and surrounding the outermost circle is a ring of 56 holes called the Aubrey Holes. Intersecting these, some 80 yards from the Altar Stone is the Heel Stone. The sarsen stones are of local origin but the blue stones are generally believed to have been transported somehow from the Prescelly Mountains in the far south-west of Wales.
